Who are we?
The award was established by a decision of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Public Library on the ninth of Shawwal 1427 AH (October 31, 2006), to be a global beacon that honors pioneering achievements in the field of translation, whether from Arabic or into Arabic. The award is based at the King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh, and is awarded every two years to honor outstanding efforts that promote bridges of mutual understanding and enrich cultural dialogue between peoples.
